Union and Confederate Armies,” commissioned and published by Resolution of the United States Congress of May 19, 1864. Entered as the historical record into the Library of Congress. The atlas illustrated therein a comprehensive record of all battles and skirmishes, troop positions, and intricate geographic and topographic detail for all four years of conflict. The atlas was never openly sold; it was distributed only to Federal Depositories, Universities, Libraries, Museums, and other Public Institutions. Only during the last century were the maps released into the public domain. Of the 10,000 published atlases, fewer than 1,000 remain complete.
Original 1893 lithograph plate from “The Official Atlas to Accompany the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies”. Commissioned by Resolution of the United States Congress of May 19, 1864, by which Adjt. General Townsend was Appointed Director of its Collection and Preparation. Upon the passing of General Townsend, the Compilation and Accumulation of maps and records continued through three Presidential Administrations and under the direction of three Secretaries of War: the Hon. Redfield Proctor, Stephen B. Elkins, and Daniel S. Lamont, and attended by its Board of Publication led by Major George B. Davis, U.S. Army, Leslie J. Perry, and Joseph W. Kirkley. They ultimately compiled and published, between 1891 and 1895, under Captain Calvin D. Cowles, in two maroon folio volumes, with 35 parts set on 5 lithograph plates, totaling 175. Each was engraved by Master Printer Julius Bien & Company. The compilation and assembly of the atlas took over 30 years. Effanbee 11″ Mickey F&B Doll LOT 3 Molded Baseball Cap Heads Redressed 1960s

Part of an extensive collection of vintage F&B dolls, fresh from a local estate where they were carefully stored and displayed.

Here is a set of three vintage 1960s F&B Effanbee Mickey dolls, each with the desirable molded baseball cap head variation. We think they look wonderful when posed and displayed together!

Initially, these dolls were sold in baseball uniforms, but all three have since been redressed.

One wears a gray tee with red pants, another a turquoise shirt with sneakers, and the third a red floral pajama-style outfit.

While the clothing is replaced, each doll retains Mickey’s original charm with his freckled cheeks, playful grin, and glancing eyes (right or left, depending on doll).

Vinyl bodies remain in good condition, with typical light age-related wear. A wonderful group for Effanbee collectors — these molded cap Mickeys are hard to find in multiples like this. In addition to this beautiful collector’s doll, we have over 300 other Dolls (new, vintage) in our eBay Store Connectibles.

Ampico Piano Roll 216533 OVER THE RAINBOW Wizard of Oz Frank Milne Medley 1939

This is the original AMPICO Piano Roll No. 216533, featuring Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz, arranged and played by Frank Milne. This late-1930s medley is one of the more desirable Ampico popular-music rolls, combining the iconic Over the Rainbow with three additional hits of the era. This is one of forty (40) Rolls we recently acquired from an extensive collection. We will list some as a single roll, and others will be sold in lots of several rolls.

The roll is complete, tightly wound, and the entire perforated music section is intact. The only cosmetic flaw is a small, old stain (possibly glue or varnish residue) in the decorative printed header area, well before the musical perforations. The leader tab is present and attached, and the roll advances normally.

The box label shows some age-related wear, but the roll itself remains a strong and highly collectible example for both display and play. Buyers seeking classical film-era Ampico music will appreciate this title.

You will receive the exact roll shown in the photos.

Although I do not have an Ampico piano to test it, the roll appears complete and structurally sound, with no visible edge issues or paper damage. It reflects the charm and musical elegance of Ampico’s golden era, especially in sought-after dance, film, and featured-artist titles like this one.

An excellent choice for collectors, players, or anyone looking to add a top-grade Ampico roll to their library. See them all; happy to combine shipping for extra savings. Please visit our eBay Connectibles Store to see the entire collection.
